There's not many designers that approach the creativity and elegance of Saul Bass. Saul Bass interpreted and whittled down ideas into powerful images that captured every thing that mattered about the subject. He could turn subjects into ideas and ideas into visuals in a succinct and universal language that transcends time and place. People say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery so if this is true Saul Bass must be the most lauded graphic designer on earf.  Proving that simple refined design is timeless.

With that in mind I thought the best way to pay tribute to Saul Bass would be to take a shot at adapting his iconic style to something modern. Specifically I took a shot in the dark as to what a Saul Bass Game of Thrones poster may have looked like. Each poster commemorates one of Saul Bass' frequent collaborators  Otto Preminger, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchock, and John Frankenheimer. Each with visual cues to some of Bass's most iconic works.  This also opened the door to envisioning what a Hitchcock/Kubrick/Preminger/ Frankenheimer adaptation may have been, so each print comes complete with prospective cast and crew info at the bottom.
