Frodesignco & CHUD.com have partnered together to pay tribute to some of our favorite cult films in the CHUD Salutes Series. Every month a different film is chosen by cult aficianado Nick Nunziata and we do our best to capture the spirit of the film visually. Some of these are cult classics, some are completely insane (if you haven't watched The Manitou I suggest you cancel all prior engagements and subject yourself to it.)

If there's one thing that links these movies together it's that they are all unapologetically genre movies. They are everything I loved as a kid. Old cineplex, mom and pop video store, poor quality vhs, movies. Despite some of their flaws these movies are full of amazing set pieces that are exercises in mood and atmosphere in a way that's missing from a lot of films today. Moments like John Wayne drunkenly walking through a burning house or Stallone chasing criminals in full drag, or the transformation scene in American Werewolf.

A few highlights have been Don't Be Afraid of the Dark which was actually produced by Mr. Nunziata himself. Also our two prints for John Carpenter's The Thing which sold out almost instantly. A second edition is available now at a larger size. A few of these are still available click the picture for more info or to purchase a print.

You've Always Been the Caretaker

Our newest addition to the CHUD Salutes series is inspired by Stanley Kubrick's Horror masterpiece The Shining.
